Dreams Buried on the Frontlines

After the International Society for Performance Improvement Europe Middle East Africa (ISPI/EMEA) conference in Istanbul in October 2015, I took a tour to Troy. Playground: Realization of a Dream

Almost every day I would walk to work along the river.  I would walk down Banja Luka past the high school girls on the way to the Turkish High School, some of whom wore head coverings, down the long stairs toward the river.  I would always wonder when I saw a young girl covered and in conservative clothes walking with a friend in tight jeans and a revealing top how they reconciled their religious differences and what their parents must think.  I would walk along the river toward the…

Mobbing...the dream killer....

I had never heard of mobbing until I worked in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).  Apparently the term is common in Europe and especially in BiH where mobbing is a perennial problem.  The description below provides a clear definition of what it entails.  The sad part of the story is that mobbing is a common way of life in BiH according to what several Bosnians told me.  Managers commonly use this technique to gain control and to get rid of competitors or anyone who does not mindlessly follow…

Thanks Randal - normally, I would love to do so but currently I am fully occupied working on agricultural biotech and advising developing countries on its potential. I am having trouble just finding time to publish.
